Leonardo da Vinci was born in 1452 in the Italian town of Vinci. He was a painter, sculptor, architect, musician and scientist. His mother was named Caterina and his father was named Ser Piero. He had two brothers: Piero and Antonio. Leonardo lived in Italy for most of his life until he died at the age of 67 in 1519.
