A long time ago, the Earth was empty. Nothing grew, and the world was flat.
One day, the Rainbow Serpent awoke from its slumber deep underground. The serpent broke through the crust of the Earth and traveled over the land in all directions. Wherever the serpent went, it left the marks of its winding, shaping the land.
