Bilingual Mystery Audiobooks

Whodunnit?

Who doesn’t love a good mystery? Mystery stories have a long history, the first ‘detective’ story dating all the way back to 1841 with Edgar Allan Poe’s, “The Murders in the Rue Morgue.”

Since then, some of our most honored writers and enduring characters have come from the genre, from Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot, to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. Put some mystery into your language studies with Beelinguapp’s audiobooks.

Language progress in just 10 minutes a day

You only need 10 minutes a day to enjoy a great story and advance your language studies at the same time. Our system puts two two versions of the same text side-by-side. One is in your own native language, and the other is in the language that you’re studying. This allows you to read the story in your target language without ever having to worry about stumbling over unfamiliar words or language structures.

And while you’re working on your reading skills, you can double up your input by listening to an audio reading at the same time. All of our stories are read by native speakers in your target language, so you get to train your ear in real-life pronunciation and intonation, just the way a local sounds.

Whether you read, listen or both, at the end of each story you’ll find a set of comprehension questions to check that you’ve understood what you’ve just read and listened to. Download the Beelinguapp’s bilingual app and learn Spanish, Japanese, Korean, French, Chinese, German, Italian as well as 7 other languages!

FAQs

Can I really learn just through reading and listening to audiobooks?

When you’re learning a new language, the most important thing is to have as much exposure to the language as possible. Our audiobooks give you reading and listening input at the same time, in a natural, everyday format. You can try Beelinguapp for free and see for yourself!

How often should I study?

Every day if you can. And, if not, you should aim for at least 5 or 6 days a week. Language learning is more about forming good habits than it is about committing huge amounts of time. You don’t need to put aside hours and hours every day; you just need to keep up regular exposure to the language. 10 minutes a day is plenty of time to train your brain in reading, listening and understanding of your target language.

When is the best time to study?

Pick a time that you tend to be free every day. That’s the best time to study. Maybe it’s just before dinner or after brushing your teeth in the morning. It doesn’t exactly matter when it is, so long as it’s the same time every day. A wandering schedule is hard to maintain and easy to forget. But a simple, standard schedule will quickly become a habit and is the best way to keep up with your language studies.
