Ask any person and they will tell you that they use interjections almost every day. Even you. In fact, I’m very sure that before reading this, you already used one interjection or five interjections for some reason. And that’s okay because you don’t need to give a reason or ask permission to use an interjection or many interjections.

Because if you think about it, interjections are like part of our speech pattern. So if you have time, pay attention to the way you speak, the way you react. See if you can hear and notice the interjections you are interjecting from the ohs to the oops.

  1. uhm: ähm (ehm)
  2. ow: aua (aua)
  3. ouch: autsch (owtsch)
  4. oh: ach (ahk)
  5. oh no: oh nein (oh nayn)
  6. yuck: igitt (ee-git)
  7. oops: ups (oops)
  8. crap: mist (mist)
  9. damn: mist (mist)
  10. yipee: juhu (yoo-hoo)
  11. hey: he (hey)
  12. yikes: huch (hook)
  13. huh: hä (heh)
  14. well: na ja (nah yah)
  15. exactly: genau (geh-now)
  16. wow: boah (bo-ah)
