Obon Festival is a holiday dedicated to remembering the dead. It is celebrated at different times in different regions of Japan, depending on whether they follow the solar or the lunar calendar. Traditionally, it is observed on the 15th day of the 7th month: July according to the solar calendar, and August, following the lunar calendar.
