1. Lilo & Stitch

Lilo & Stitch is a Disney animated comedy-drama from the early 2000s that was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 75th Academy Awards, with an 86% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie follows Lilo’s adventures with her “dog friend” Agent 626, also known as Stitch. Stitch is a genetic experiment who managed to get away from his alien planet. With Lilo’s help, Stitch learns how to love and care for someone else, especially his “ohana” or family.

2. Treasure Planet

In November 2002, Disney released Treasure Island, an animated science fiction adaptation of Treasure Island, a popular novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. The film was a box-office hit and was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 75th Academy Awards.

Once upon a time, a spaceship crashes into Benbow Inn that is owned by James Hawkin’s mom. Inside the spaceship is Billy Bones, and he gives Jim a sphere. Before he dies, he tells him that “the cyborg is coming soon” and to “beware the cyborg.” But when Jim is in Dr. Delbert Doppler’s study room, he discovers that the sphere is a holographic sphere and it holds a map leading to Captain Nathaniel Flint's “loot of a thousand worlds.” This unexpected discovery leads to Jim and Doppler’s adventures to Treasure Planet.

3. Toy Story

Toy Story is the first film of the Pixar Animation Studios' Toy Story franchise. The movie was the highest-grossing film of 1995 and it was hailed for its innovation of 3D animation. In fact, Toy Story is still regarded as one of the best animated films of all time.

In the movie, the toys come to life when humans are not around. The film follows Woody, a toy cowboy who fears that his status as the favorite toy is being threatened by the arrival of Buzz Lightyear. However, Buzz thinks that he is a real astronaut on a mission to return to his home planet. Something happens, and Woody and Buzz are stuck with Sid, the wicked neighbor. With all the chaos happening, will Buzz and Woody still make it out alive?

4. Kronk’s New Groove

Kronk’s New Groove is the animated musical-comedy sequel to The Emperor’s New Groove. The film was nominated three times for the Annie Awards under Best Home Entertainment Production, Best Storyboarding in an Animated Feature Production, and Best Writing in an Animated Feature Production.

In the movie, Kronk currently owns and operates a thriving pizza parlor. But, as soon as he learns that his Papi is planning a visit, he begins raising a lot of money in order to impress his father with his accomplishments. But as soon as Kronk’s plans are about to succeed, his former villainess called Yzma lures Kronk back to his evil ways.

5. Up

Up premiered at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival in 2009. The movie was recognized as one of the best 10 films of the year by groups such as the National Board of Review and the American Film Institute. Up was nominated for the 82nd Academy Awards, 37th Annie Awards, 67th Golden Globe Awards, and British Film Academy Awards, among others.

One of Carl Fredricksen’s dreams is to fly away to South America and see the forbidden Paradise Falls with his wife, Ellie. Many years later and after his wife’s death, Carl finally decides to fulfill this journey by tying thousands of helium balloons to his house, hoping to fly him away to the South American wilderness. Little did he know that on this adventure, a stowaway Boy Scout named Russell accidentally comes along for the ride.

6. Enchanted

Enchanted is a romcom, musical, live-action, and animated Disney film. The film pays tribute to Disney's classics with references to Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty, and other Disney masterpieces.

Giselle lives in a magical land called Andalasia. In the fairy-tale kingdom, she meets and falls in love with the handsome Prince Edward. Just as the two are about to marry and live happily ever after, Edward's evil stepmother, Queen Narissa, banishes Giselle, sending her to an unfamiliar place with no “happy ever afters” called New York. Giselle is now alone in the busy streets of New York, until a divorce lawyer comes to her rescue. At this point, will Giselle ever find her true love and have true love’s kiss?

7. High School Musical

High School Musical (HSM) is the first movie of Disney’s High School Musical Franchise. HSM became the most successful Disney Channel Original Movie ever made, with its soundtrack topping the charts.

Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez originally met at a karaoke party on New Year's Eve, where they sang a song together. But when Troy returns to East High the following week, he realizes that Gabriella is the new girl on campus. Despite their completely opposite backgrounds, Troy and Gabriella become friends. And the two decide to audition for the school’s spring musical. However, Sharpay Evans gets in the way of their goals. Now Gabriela and Troy must develop a plan to get to their auditions on time without jeopardizing their previous commitments.

8. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is a film based on the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disney theme parks. The film was the fourth highest-grossing film of 2003, and it was the first in the franchise to have two sequels released back-to-back in 2006 and 2007.

Captain Jack Sparrow and the cunning blacksmith Will Turner are on the quest to save Elizabeth Swann. Elizabeth Swann is the daughter of the governor and the love of Will’s life. Because she possesses a precious golden medallion that is linked to a curse, Captain Barbossa ends up kidnapping her. It isn’t until later on, that they discover an interesting truth about the Aztec gold. Now it's up to Will and Jack to recapture the Black Pearl, save the British navy, and surrender the forbidden treasure.

9. The Lizzie McGuire Movie

The Lizzie McGuire Movie is the first film based on the Disney Channel series of Lizzie McGuire.

After their middle school graduation, Lizzie and her schoolmates are off on a summer school trip to Rome for a couple of weeks. On a sunshiny day in Roma, an Italian pop star called Paolo saw Lizzie and mistook her for Isabella. Lizzie is the spitting image of Isabella, except for the blonde hair. And this marks Lizzie’s unforgettable Italian adventure. One thing after another, Lizzie uncovers Paolo’s secret and she is left performing center stage at the Italian Music Awards.

10. Jump In!

Jump In! is another Disney Channel Original Movie. With 8.2 million views, the film became the highest-rated DCOM premiere surpassing The Cheetah Girls 2. Its soundtrack charted on the Billboard 200, and the album was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Izzy Daniels, a teenage boxer, is training to win the Golden Glove boxing competition. But one day, his friend called Mary asks him to fill in for her missing teammate in a Double Dutch competition. And this sparks Izzy's interest in jumping rope. He then learns that he should consider what his heart desires because whatever he chooses to accomplish will be "20% work and 80% heart."
