To hear words that are as sweet as cherry cola is a nice, warm, one-of-a-kind feeling.

A sweet feeling that has been around for ages, like since the earth’s magnetic field and love have been making the world go round. A sweet feeling that many great poets always write about, because they believed that sweet nothings deserved to be immortalized in writing.

One of the greatest playwrights of all time is a great Italian called Williammo Shakespearelli—just kidding, his name is actually William Shakespeare and he is not Italian. However, he really did write a great deal of words that can paint the sky in all colors and make you feel all sorts of emotions.

Shakespeare was a wizard with words. Even to this day, his charming words continue to bewitch us. In the spirit of the Bard, let’s spread some love with his most romantic lines.

  • “Thou art wise as thou art beautiful” (A Midsummer Night’s Dream)
  • “Love is a smoke and is made with the fume of sighs” (Romeo and Juliet)
  • “I do love you more than words can wield the matter” (King Lear)
  • “A heaven on earth I have won by wooing thee” (All’s Well That Ends Well)
  • “You have witchcraft in your lips” (Henry V)
  • “I love you with so much of my heart that none is left to protest” (Much Ado About Nothing)
  • “I know no ways to mince it in love, but directly to say ‘I love you’” (Henry V)
  • “What’s mine is yours, and what is yours is mine” (Measure for Measure)
  • “The course of true love never did run smooth” (A Midsummer Night’s Dream)
  • “Hear my soul speak. Of the very instant that I saw you, Did my heart fly at your service” (The Tempest)
  • “Doubt that the stars are fire... But never doubt I love” (Hamlet)

Swoon in Elizabethan English like it’s 1599 💕
