Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Rap Monster, and Jungkook are all names you've probably heard of. And that’s because they are members of the beloved BTS!

BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band managed by Big Hit Entertainment. The group is the best-selling artist in South Korean history having sold over 32 million albums worldwide, leading the Korean wave across the global music market.

Furthermore, BTS is also the first Korean artist to top the US Billboard 200 with their 2018 album Love Yourself: Tear, as well as the first Korean act to get a certification from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for their track “Mic Drop.”

The list of BTS' numerous awards in the music industry might go on forever, but the group's efforts don't end there. They also collaborated with UNICEF to launch an anti-violence campaign and spoke at three UN General Assembly sessions. Boy band with a heart, what more can you ask for?!

BTS not only serenaded us with tracks that made us dance, swoon, hope, and even cry, but they taught us Korean culture and language, which actually made them the youngest recipients of the Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea. In addition, the group keeps inspiring its followers to be their true selves, to engage in activism, and to spread the message of positivity around the world. After all, a dollop of positivity and happiness goes a long way, so why not share it?

If you're learning Korean, mix and match your language lessons with music by BTS! Besides, music is an effective and powerful resource for language learning. When you’re listening to music, you’re practicing your language skills and improving your listening skills, while having a good time. If you’re up for a karaoke party, start streaming BTS on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, or any music platform of your choice.

Blood Sweat & Tears

This dance single will have you moving and grooving and hip-thrusting and body rolling just like the Bangtan Boys in the music video. However, the song's catchy lyrics have a deeper message, which is about growing and falling to the sweet temptations of a possibly toxic love. Ooh saucy!

Jamais Vu

In psychology, jamais vu is a French phrase that means "never seen," and is the polar opposite of deja vu. It's the strange sensation of being immersed into something familiar, but at the same time it feels something brand new. Or like knowing someone very well that you should be familiar with, yet it feels as if you just met the person for the first time.

Telepathy

Want to feel serenaded by BTS with all its cute trappings and lyrics that can make you swoon for days? Telepathy is your jam, taking you on a wonderful rollercoaster ride that is neither too fast nor too slow, just perfect by your side moving at your own pace.

Moon

To the BTS Army, this one’s for you! With lyrics so sweet as honey, the one and only Jin recorded this song with his beautiful voice, comparing the Army to the Earth and him as the moon.

네 주위를 맴돌게

I will orbit around you

네 곁에 있어 줄게

I will stay by your side

네 빛이 되어 줄게

I will be your light

Black Swan

The music video for this single features an effortless choreography, where the members can be seen embracing their graceful, inner swan qualities. However, one thing that stands out in the song is how identical their voices are. Could there be a hidden meaning behind this creativity?

Anpanman

It's a red bean bread and it’s there for you when you are hungry. It’s Anpanman!

“Anpanman” is an upbeat song based on Takashi Yanase's red bean bread children's superhero. In the late 1980s, the picture book was adapted into an animated cartoon series in Japan, and in the 1990s, it became popular in South Korea. The band's take on the quirky and endearing superhero serves as a reminder that anyone can be a hero, even if they believe themselves to be weak. Go Anpanman!

Magic Shop

This song is inspired by James Doty's book Into the Magic Shop: A Neurosurgeon's Quest to Discover the Mysteries of the Brain and the Secrets of the Heart. “Magic Shop”' is written and produced by Jung Kook to remind the ARMY that there is a magic shop waiting to comfort them inside their hearts.

If you’re feeling sad and lonely, listen to “Magic Shop” to make you feel better. This song is like a warm cup of tea, reminding you to not lose hope in yourself in everything you do. Fighting!

21st Century Girl

Rap Monster helped write this 13th track from the BTS album called WINGS. This song inspires young people to be brave, confident, and to stay true to themselves – you worth it, you perfect, deserve it just work it.

2! 3!

Something must be in the air, because my eyes are doing that water thing…

Despite the fact that this track may sound like an oldie, “2! 3!” is the group's first fan-song. This special song is another ray of sunshine from the band, thanking the ARMY for always standing by their side and supporting them. This song is like a warm hug to the ARMY, encouraging them to forget about their worries and fears because everything will be alright.

MAMA

Need something to serenade your mother? This song is not only buzzy and bouncy, but it's also a love letter to J-Hope's mother who has always been supportive of his work. Perhaps, this could be a love letter to your mother too for all her love and support.

Hey mama

이젠 내게 기대도 돼 언제나 옆에

Hey mama

Now, you can lean on me. I’ll always be by your side.

Converse High

Ready to rock your red Converse Highs? The head bobbing beats and cheeky lyrics will have you learning about colors, and possibly even getting more excited about wearing your high tops! Converse highs are not only stylish, but they also represent something simple and comfortable. So why not rock your high tops, eh?
